If he's the boy next door, maybe it's time to move.
This was one of those movies I found in the TV guide to be on the local channel (CityTV) at 3AM, and didn't get to watch for another week. But when I finally did watch it, it was well worth the wait.
What's your favorite part of Keanu? The hair maybe. Well, it's a bit different in this movie! =) He looks fantastic with the half long, half short look. This is another great example of great, fresh acting, and interesting plots. Yes, yet again, Keanu CAN act.
Keanu plays Rupert Marshetta, a brilliant high school dropout, looking for money so he can run away from home. So...he kidnaps his father and demands ransome from his mother who agrees to get the money from selling a piece of land the father owns. It's all quite hilarious.
A "very 80's" warning is in effect.

-Keanu's hair! =P Keanu's clothing - and the opening scenes; we know it's Keanu because of the walk, the pigeon-toed-ness, and the hands.
-Keanu on a motorcycle - which we don't see often enough despite the fact that is (or was, before the Porsche) his mode of transportation in real life.
-Keanu plays a smart person.
-The hillarious situation; might remind you of Feeling Minnesota a bit. HA! Both movies have the titles of states!
-Another movie with Fred Ward...that's not necessarily good...!
-Keanu throwing Fred into a swimming pool (That's better).
-The alarm system on Keanu's bedroom in the garage - If only all alarms had Keanu's voice... =P
-Keanu trying to drug Fred. LOL!
-The majority of the dialogue - especially when Keanu is really happy/excited or choaking on chicken.
-Another love affair with an older woman, who doesn't love him at first...but eventually all that Keanu charm does something to her! (who it doesn't do anything to we have yet to see!)
-The scenes in the mine - Keanu even looks good mopping floors.
